the place where i live i have only one option for my broadband connection and that is bsnl. i have been using the connecton for more than 3 years and it is OK given my location. the new connection process is vry disgusting and slow, you have to fill up a form and after that get it signed and all that and after few days they check it and forward it to the nearest bsnl head office and after that when your broadband connection gets activated you need to purchase the modem from the bsnk office or purchase it from other shops and get it configured from the bsnl technician.
if you do not know how to install the modem to your landline then you will have to wait for 1 week nearly until someone from bsnl comes and installs the modem. After that you can start using the broadband connection, i have upto 512kbps speed connection. and i get an average speed or i must say constant speed of around 200-250 kbps. the speed does not fluctuates and the download speed also remains at constant 200 kbps.
The only problem you face is when your net get any problem, your connection can take upto 2 weeks to get repaired.Thats the most frustating thing of bsnl broadband.
